Animal Control Center
The Animal Control Center Director oversees the operation of the Mercer County Animal Control Center. The director maintains all administrative animal records and reports, enforces the Mercer County Ordinance for the Control of Domestic Animals and assists in the adoption of animals.

Fee's are shown below. All fees are subject to change at any time with approval of the Mercer County Fiscal Court.
Adoption Fees
Includes: Spaying. Neutering, Worming, Vaccinations
Dogs
$100.00+tax for Male Dogs for residents of Mercer County
$125.00+tax for Female Dogs for residents of Mercer County
Cats
$64.00+tax for Male and/or Females for residents of Mercer County
Reclaim Fees
1st Offense: $25.00+tax
2nd Offense: $50.00+tax
3rd Offense: $100+tax
Quarantine
$75.00+tax payable before the start of the quarantine period
Kennel License
Up to 10 Dogs $20.00+tax
11+ Dogs $30.00+tax
