The Chamber of Commerce is a private, non-profit corporation that unites 200 businesses and professional firms in this county. These business volunteers work together to ensure a healthy economic and social-economic base for the benefit of the community. The goals, policies and programs are determined by the volunteer Board of Directors, elected by the membership.
Their mission is still to provide leadership, support and education necessary for economic stability, and growth through involvement in business, government, and community activities.
They sponsor many projects throughout the year dealing with the issues such as the quality of life, workforce development, leadership, etc. When a business wants to become a member of the Chamber it allows one to make new business contacts, offers business referrals and allows an avenue to gain business, community, and government information.
