Board of Assessment Appeals

The Board of Assessment Appeals hears matters of appeals filed by property owners who have a complaint about their property valuation. The Board is a three (3) member board appointed by the County Judge Executive. They meet annually and conduct hearings on all complaints filed regarding disputed property values. The board visits the properties in question with the PVA and holds a hearing on each matter. Decisions of the board are provided to the complainant by way of registered mail once a decision has been reached.
